TEAM NEEDS
-
GraceKIDS Attendant
Responsible for locking and unlocking the door at GK during service. Also, making sure only authorized persons are going into GK.
-
New Family Check-In
Welcome new guest when they have children. Assist with checking their children in and walking them back to their classrooms.
-
Extra Needs
We have needs for Greeters at 9:15 and Hospitality Hosts for all services.
A Change For How We Do Coffee
Instead of cleaning up coffee during the 10:45 service, we’re going to keep it out for people to do self-serve following the 10:45 service. I’ll clean everything up following all of church or on Monday.
Once people go into the service for 10:45 just turn whatever coffee we have left around for easy self-serve. You’re now free to go into the service. As always, thank you so much for all you guys do for Grace Church!
Huddle is a brief, five minute meeting we have every Sunday morning in Classroom 310. During this brief time we’ll go over what’s happening at Grace during that Sunday (in case you get asked questions), have a brief scripture reading, and prayer.
Please make every effort to attend one huddle during the morning when you’re serving.

This team wears an orange vest and a smile to wave to guests as they enter the parking lot. Remember we have seven minutes to make a great first impression. Parking Lot Greeters aren’t in place to help people park (unless that’s needed), but instead, to be the first welcoming face at Grace.
-
Our Front Door Greeters have an opportunity to make each guest experience memorable. When the apostle Paul was ship-wreaked on the island of Malta, he noted, “The native people showed us unusual kindness, for they kindled a fire and welcomed us all, because it had begun to rain and was cold.” (Acts 28:2, ESV) We have the opportunity to show unusual kindness to all Guests of Grace Church.
-
Much like our Front Door Greeters, Auditorium Greeters have a wonderful opportunity to make every Guest experience memorable. Auditorium Greeters have the opportunity to welcome each Guest with a bulletin (and communion cup once a month).
-
Just in case a Guest made it through their whole experience on a Sunday morning without anyone warmly welcoming them, the Fareweller is our last line of defense! This team member will wish everyone “Farewell” or “Good-bye” as they leave.
-
This team helps Guests find a seat particularly when the music has started, people are standing, and the lights are down. Anything we can do to make the Guest feel comfortable on a Sunday morning is worth doing.
-
This team has the opportunity to connect further with our first time guests. They explain more about what Grace Church has to offer, answer any guest questions, and make sure every guest feels welcomed and loved. Our Connection Point Hosts will also be responsible for assisting new families with signing into Grace Kids. The Connection Point Hosts also have the fun job of giving every new child a gift and a new adult a gift card.
-
Hospitality is about creating a space to make others feel welcome and know they’re wanted. This team is responsible for making, serving, and cleaning up refreshments served on a Sunday morning.
-
This team is available to deter, deescalate, and resolve any safety issues that may arise. Additional training is coming January, 2024.
-
As part of the First Impressions Team, this team member makes intentional connections with all the people they sit with in the Auditorium. This could take place a few minutes before the service starts or a few minutes following the service.
-
Do you want to serve in this ministry but your giftings are more behind the scene? We have jobs for you!
-
During baptism Sunday these guides will be assigned to a person being baptized and their baptiser to help with any last minute questions and to be a calming presence when nerves arise.
-
During special events and decorating this team will be called upon to take part.
