Local Missions

The Women’s Center of Northwest Indiana: Supported through our finances and volunteers. This is a crisis pregnancy center, which assists women in making life-affirming decisions for the unborn babies. To find out more, check out their website,www.thewc.org.

Back-To-School Fair: This is an event held at Spencer Park in the beginning of August. Churches, businesses and local organizations team up to collect and distribute school supplies to local school children. We also use this opportunity to make the children and parents aware of what church ministries are available to them in our community.

Celebrate Recovery: A ministry to the community to help people who are struggling with hurts, habits or hang-ups. Check out more about that ministry here.

Helping Hands: Helping Hands is an organization supported by the churches of our county, that assists residents of Jasper County in need of financial help for basic needs such as rent and utilities. There are two offices, one in both the north and south part of the county. If you are in need of assistance call the main office at 219.394.2339 to set up an appointment.

Fair Haven Center for Women (Highland, IN): Is a ministry to victims of rape and sexual abuse. We support this ministry through budget finances, by purchasing Christmas Star gifts for clients, and by purchasing hospital rape response bags. Our own Kelly Vates heads up this ministry. For more information on this ministry, check out their website: http://www.asafeport.org/.

Camp LRCA (Crown Point, IN): Supported through finances, food and campers. Camp LRCA is a ministry that ministers to children through providing a Christian Camp Experience. To find out more check out their website camplrca.com.

Royal Family Kids Camp: This camp is specifically for foster children of NW Indiana. We support them financially, with collections, food and many wonderful volunteers.

We also support Joe and Natalie Reed as they lead a disciple-making movement to the un-reached cities throughout the United States.

Gospel to All Peoples (India): This all-India mission consists of ten churches, and children’s home, a farm, Bible translation team, and has even sent out one of their own as a missionary. Our missionary contact is Benny Kurian. Click here to read Benny’s latest update letter.

Jerusalem Baptism Mission (Haiti): Located in Pignon, Haiti, this all-Haitian mission consists of 100 churches, a number of schools and children’s homes. Our missionary contact is Jephthe Lucien. We have also supported them through a goat project and sending teams to work there.

Here at Grace we would like to help our people who are experiencing financial difficulties in a holistic way. Our goal is to develop a team of people who have various talents and abilities to help people.

  • If your problem is finding a job, we would like to offer the services of someone who knows how to help people find jobs.
  • If your problem is getting something fixed, we would like to be able to refer you to people who could help you fix it or find a reputable place to get it fixed.
  • If your problem is a temporary financial crisis, we would like to have you sit down with someone who could help you find the needed funds to deal with your situation.
  • If your problem is an ongoing financial shortfall, we would like to help you find someone who could help you look at possible solutions to your budget.
  • If you are sick and need assistance, we would like to help you find someone who has the gift of mercy.

So if you are experiencing any of these challenges or you are a person who would like to offer your helping services, please feel free to call the church office (987-7763) to set up an appointment with one of our pastors.

Here at Grace we would also like to help the people of our community who are experiencing financial difficulties. The way we do that is by helping to support and staff an organization in the community specifically established for that purpose. If you call our church just looking for financial help, we will most likely refer you to a local organization called Helping Hands, which now has an office here in DeMotte. If you would like to make an appointment, call 219-394-2339.
